Privacy Policy

Your privacy is important to me. This Privacy Policy explains how Tempo ("I", "my", or "the App") handles your information. The short version: your data stays on your device and is never shared with anyone.

No Tracking or Advertising

Tempo does not contain any third-party advertising, analytics, or tracking SDKs. I do not track you across apps or websites, and I do not collect, share, or sell your data to advertisers or data brokers.

Information You Provide

Tempo stores the data you create within the app, including:

• Projects: Names, colors, icons, and hourly rates you assign to your projects
• Time Entries: Start and end times, descriptions, and billable status of your tracked time
• Tags: Custom labels you create to categorize your time entries

All of this information is entered by you and stored solely on your device.

Local Storage Only

Tempo stores all data locally on your device using Apple's SwiftData framework. Your data is also shared within an App Group container to enable widget functionality (such as Live Activities and Control Center widgets). This data never leaves your device and is not transmitted to any external server.

No Cloud Storage or Sync

Tempo does not use any cloud services, remote databases, or server infrastructure. There is no Firebase, no third-party backend, and no remote sync. Your data exists only on the device where you use the app.

In-App Purchases

Tempo offers an optional one-time in-app purchase ("Tempo Pro") handled entirely by Apple through StoreKit 2. I do not process any payment information. Apple manages all purchase transactions, receipts, and billing. For information on how Apple handles purchase data, please see Apple's Privacy Policy.

Information I Do NOT Collect

• Personal identification information (name, email, phone number)
• Location data
• Device identifiers or fingerprints
• Usage analytics or behavioral data
• Crash reports (unless you opt in via Apple's system-level crash reporting)

Data Sharing

I do not sell, trade, or share your data with any third parties. Under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), I confirm: I do not sell your personal information.

The only third party involved is Apple, which processes in-app purchases on your behalf.

Data Retention

Your data remains on your device for as long as you use the app. If you delete the app, all locally stored data is removed. There is no server-side data to delete because no data is ever transmitted off your device.

Your Rights

You have full control over your data:

• View, edit, or delete any project, time entry, or tag within the app at any time
• Export your time entries as a CSV file for your own records
• Delete all data by uninstalling the app

Security

Your data is protected by the security features built into iOS, including device encryption and app sandboxing. Since no data is transmitted over the network, there is no risk of data interception in transit.

Children's Privacy

Tempo is not intended for children under 13. I do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided data through the app, please contact me.

Changes to This Policy

I may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. I will notify you of significant changes by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
