Terms of Service

Please read these Terms of Service ("Terms") carefully before using Tempo ("the App"). By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Tempo, you agree to be bound by these Terms and the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the App.

2. Age Requirement

You must be at least 13 years old to use Tempo. By using the App, you represent that you are at least 13 years of age. If you are under 18, you represent that your parent or guardian has reviewed and agreed to these Terms.

3. Description of Service

Tempo is a time tracking application for iOS 18 and later. The App allows users to track time across projects, view reports and analytics, and export time data. The App offers both free and premium (Pro) features, including:

• Project creation with custom colors and icons
• Multi-project simultaneous time tracking
• Live Activities (Dynamic Island and Lock Screen)
• Siri Shortcuts for voice-controlled timers
• Unlimited projects, tags, and full history (Pro)
• Detailed analytics, charts, and earnings tracking (Pro)
• CSV export of time entries (Pro)

4. In-App Purchase

Tempo Pro is available as a one-time, non-consumable in-app purchase. By purchasing Tempo Pro:

• Payment will be charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase
• This is a one-time purchase — there are no recurring charges, subscriptions, or renewal fees
• The purchase is permanent and does not expire
• The purchase is shareable with your family via Apple Family Sharing
• You can restore your purchase on any device signed in with the same Apple ID via Settings within the App
• Refund requests are handled by Apple in accordance with their refund policies

5. User Data

All data you create in Tempo (projects, time entries, tags) is stored locally on your device. Tempo does not transmit your data to any server or third party. You are responsible for backing up your device if you wish to preserve your data. See the Privacy Policy for full details.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
• Attempt to circumvent any security or licensing features of the App
• Use the App in any manner that violates applicable laws or regulations
• Redistribute or sublicense the App

7. Intellectual Property

The App, including its design, features, and content, is owned by me and protected by intellectual property laws. You retain ownership of the data you create within the App (projects, time entries, tags, descriptions).

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

The App is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. I do not guarantee that the App will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free. Time tracking accuracy depends on normal device operation.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, I shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages resulting from your use of or inability to use the App, including but not limited to lost time data, inaccurate time records, or lost revenue.

10. Changes to Terms

I reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. I will notify users of significant changes by updating the "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

11. Termination

I reserve the right to terminate or suspend your access to the App at any time, without notice, for conduct that I believe violates these Terms or is harmful to other users or third parties.

12. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

13. Apple App Store Terms

The following terms apply to your use of the App through the Apple App Store:

• These Terms are between you and me, not Apple. I am solely responsible for the App and its content.
• Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support services for the App.
• Apple is not responsible for any product warranties, whether express or implied. I am solely responsible for any claims relating to the App.
• Apple is not responsible for addressing any claims by you or any third party relating to the App, including product liability claims, claims that the App fails to conform to legal or regulatory requirements, or claims under consumer protection or similar legislation.
• Apple is not responsible for the investigation, defense, settlement, or discharge of any intellectual property infringement claim.
• You must comply with any applicable third-party terms when using the App.
• Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms. Upon your acceptance, Apple has the right to enforce these Terms against you as a third-party beneficiary.

14. Your Data Rights

You have the right to view, modify, export, and delete your data at any time within the App. See the Privacy Policy for details on data handling and your rights.
