Frequently Asked Questions

How do I start a timer?

From the Timers tab, tap the play button on any project card to start tracking time. The card will pulse to show it's active, and you'll see your running timer in Dynamic Island and the mini player at the bottom of the screen.

Can I run multiple timers at once?

Yes! Tempo supports running one timer per project simultaneously. You can have timers running on different projects at the same time. Swipe through your active timers in the mini player to switch between them.

What is Tempo Pro?

Tempo Pro is a one-time purchase ($39.99) that unlocks the full app forever — no subscriptions or recurring fees. Pro features include unlimited projects, tags, full time entry history, detailed analytics with charts and heatmaps, earnings tracking, and CSV export.

How do I restore my purchase?

If you've already purchased Tempo Pro and need to restore it (for example, on a new device), go to Settings within the app and tap "Restore Purchases". Make sure you're signed in with the same Apple ID you used for the original purchase.

Where is my data stored?

All your data is stored locally on your device. Tempo does not use any cloud services or external servers. Your projects, time entries, and tags exist only on the device where you use the app. If you delete the app, your data will be removed.

Does Tempo work with Siri?

Yes! You can use Siri to start, stop, and toggle timers by voice. Try saying "Hey Siri, start tracking [project name] in Tempo" or "Hey Siri, stop all timers in Tempo". You can also create custom automations in the Shortcuts app.

How do I export my time entries?

With Tempo Pro, go to the Reports tab and tap the export button. You can select a time range and export your entries as a CSV file, which you can open in any spreadsheet app or use for invoicing.
